Emilia Clarke, a 28-year-old Londoner who started her stellar career as the white-haired Daenerys Targaryen on the “Games of Thrones,” is Esquire’s Sexiest Woman Alive. The announcement was made last October 13 though GQ has already bestowed on her the title “Woman of the Year” in September.
Aside from her role in the extremely popular HBO series, Clarke also played Sarah Connor in the latest terminator franchise “Terminator: Genisys.” From the different roles she had played, one can easily see that Ms. Clarke can do a wide range of characters from fierce, friendly; she can be a queen, a kid sister, a killer and your simple girl next door. She can also be your tantalizing, alluring temptress as she has proved with the nude cover she did for the Esquire story.
Clarke first appeared on the long –running British daytime soap “Doctors” after finishing a course on drama in college. From there she worked on multiple jobs and projects until she landed her life-changing role in the “Games of Thrones” in 2011.
Admitting that she have had difficulties during the early part of the show since she has to go through a lot of sex, frontal nudity and even a rape scene, she told Markovits about the trials and tribulations she had gone through with her character.
Her response to most days like this was, “Once, I had to take a little time out,” she said. “I said I needed a cup of tea, had a bit of a cry, and was ready for the next scene.” This distressing ritual had brought her to what she has become and she has perfected “mucking in,” the English term for striking a balance between doing what you have to do, getting your hands dirty but always keeping that healthy disposition on your face. And Markovits claims, Emilia Clarke is good at it; the epitome of a truly sexiest woman alive today.
